    My Autonomous Cookie Monster (LOL)

I decided to build a fuzzy robot. It was going to originally be a teddy bear, but i had this old cookie monster plus toy. The skeleton of the robot was the plastic shell of a Mike Disc Shooting robot. I used the plastic shell to insert into the plus toy's skin.

Here are the parts i used...

    - 3 GWS Servos (Head and Arms)
    - 1 Sharp Distance sensor
    - Microchip PIC 18F4685 @ 20 mhz
    - My custom PIC Board
    - 2 modified GWS servos (for wheels)
    - My 2D mapping code (modified from my wall-e and k-9, etc)

Here is the video: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaVMWG0OgO4"]YouTube - My Homemade Autonomous Cookie Monster Robot[/ame]

Very cute! I want one! Does he auto-detect cookies in the vicinity and steal them? That's what mine needs to do. Hmm. Chocolate Detector. I'm gonna get on that....

    No worries!

You can use the "Manage Attachments" button, and everything happens in advanced post mode, and everything happens automagically. You don't even need to toss 'em on a web server first - TRC hosts 'em, even. It's pretty sweet!

Ha ha, very funny djsures, Nice cookie monster, great entry.
People yearn after this robotic dream, but you can't strip your life of all meaning, emotion and feeling and expect to function.

    Awwwww... He's adorable!

I kept waiting for disks to shoot out of his mouth. I thought that's what he was going to do since you use the disk shooter guts. You know, like a cookie monster that shoots cookies at people, lol. Still love the project. Nicely done!

now that'd be hilarious! the original guts of the disk shooter was full of gearsets for the head, disks, arms, and legs . so that was all gutted to fit the battery and circuitboard and servos . sadly!

    thanx dude

Amazing. We sat here (some friends and I) and laughed for about 10 minutes straight over that video. Well done.
