    Mech - Ratpack

So year one for Mech-Warfare is done and it looks like I have the design for my bot. S/he will be based off Issy 1.0 with a few modifactions here and there. I will be ordering the servos, frame, and guns today and hope to get them by monday so I can start building my mech. Pics to come once I get the legs and frame put together. So stay tune.

After a few hours of busted knuckles and losing a few nuts and screws I came up with two 3 DOF leg designs. You can view them here, in my gallery: http://forums.trossenrobotics.com/ga...=3&userid=2080. Hopefully, tomorrow my Sanguino kit will arrive and by the weekend I will have some code writing for creating some leg motions. I also will be ordering a few more brackets pieces and also a digital caliper so I can start working on creating a base for the bot.

Of course any comments/suggestions/concerns are always welcome.

Get some donut-shaped magnets that fit over the screwdriver's business ends as well.
Saved me a few hundred screws and nuts up to date.

I dont have those but I do have a set like them and they are magnetic. The problem I am having is trying to get screws and nuts into the nooks and crannies.

I have decided to use this setup for testing:
