Thread: Hacktrak - Bigtrak with a difference :-)

  1. Hacktrak - Bigtrak with a difference :-)

This is my hacked Bigtrak, aptly now called "Hacktrak"

I got this on eBay and it looked like it had been stored in a shed. All the original components were rusted beyond repair.

So out they came, and in went an Arduino and breadboard for prototyping. Along with a good clean, respray and custom stickers.

I scanned and traced the original stickers, made a new logo and cut them on my Craft robo.

Along with the Arduino controller, I replaced the old torch bulb with an LED, and added a digital audio recorder module to recreate the original sounds.

For this video, I attached an Ultrasonic sensor and wrote a few lines of code. The Arduino & breadboard combo, mean unlimited hacks for this bot.

That's a pretty cool robot you got there! I like the sound it makes... makes me think of my childhood.

That's a great example of how useful the arduino is.
