Google SketchUp to 3D printing?

[Pi Robot]

Has anyone gone from Google SketchUp all the way to a 3D printout? I'd like to create a relatively simple case for Pi Robot and I don't really want to learn one of the more complicated CAD programs. Google SketchUp seems really easy to work with and I understand the Pro version can export to various CAD formats. But has anyone actually taken this path all the way to a printed part?

You can download this free exporter that can produce STL files for 3D printing.

I used this exporter for the pieces of a spool holder I designed. I printed them on my Makerbot CupCake.
