  1. Hexapod V1-TR

    Hi everyone;

    I'm Onur from TURKEY.this year end of my university and last project is hexapod.My department is Mechatronic Engineering.Iı love Robotics application.My hexapod will be walking on rough surface.I use kind of microswitch end of the each leg to achieve this purpose.Of course 3DOF.

    My Hexapod design looks like MSR-H01 Hexapod but lots of changes ı did.When the cad drawings and reports finish, ı will share.

    I use SSC-32 and next time ı will buy Bot board.2mm aleminum ı use.ı choose HS-311 servos..
    This weekend ı cuts mechanic parts of my robot via Lazer cutting.I will be send pictures of last products.Sorry for english writing.

    Sincerely;

    The parts look very good so far Onur! What laser cutter did you use? Is it at your university?

    Nice one Amorfy!!
    You said that you're gonna make it walk on rough terrain. Nice.
    I also have a hex and planning to do the same thing. It even crossed my mind to open
    a no-price contest in Trossen to build a walker for uneven terrain. My hex is ready to be attached with 6 force resistor sensor. And I also have started to design the algorithm for rough terrain.
    Hope you're interested in this challenge !! Super exciting!!

    Wonderful,
    I suspect that the switch based sensor may cause some problems. Their being a difference between the switch being closed and the proper amount of weight being supported by the leg. If so two things you could do to fix it. 1) Add a some extra spring force to the switch. 2) Switch to a Force Sensitive Resistor (http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9673) Let us know how it works please.

    I look forward to seeing video of her.

    Sincerely,

    Jeremy

    Looks really good and very professionally done... I need access to one of those routers... I'm thinking of getting a desktop router soon so I can do stuff like this...
