My robot even if in small steps continues to evolve!
Lately I've done to make the arm with airsoft weapon, and causes inconvenience of programming for the jumper to move on ssc-32 can not have the wires in the best way! I started to test the first movements of the robot and some walk cycles with good results. I have to consider whether to strengthen some parts, but so far nothing alarming! Post some new pictures and a video soon!

Hello Jwatte , I have used various plastic materials, the polycarbonate and varying thickness abs! The brackets are for the most part in polycarbonate! I was tired of using aluminum for my robot, so I used the flexible material to simulate muscles and tendons in the human body!

    Hey,

Just a quick thought...Not sure if you are going to robogames or are planning to participate in Mech Warfare...If so then good for you for going with a biped.

One problem you might run into is that the floor of the arena is painted with matte finish paint. The floor is made of foam core plywood and is really soft. Bipeds tend to sink into the material making them less unstable. Skid turning with a biped is nearly impossible.

Another thing to be aware of is the BBs...They make life hell for a biped because they throw your bot off balance making walking really hard.

Hope to see you at robogames and good luck with this project. It looks great!

Didn't we replace the flooring with MDF last year? Or at least somethign more durable - I don't recall anything sinking into the floor last year, bur I know this happened before that.
