    Try 20? Can you make a video to show us? Maybe KingPin can chime in on what setting he settled on.

    I used

    #define DEFAULT_GAIT_SPEED 40
    #define DEFAULT_SLOW_GAIT 50

    so nothing new here. I don't think lowering below 40 has any (observable) use.

    As KevinO said, perhaps post a video. Or post more details on how exactly you used the code.

    I wasn't changing anything other than gate speed. I'm not sure what it could be. Are you in "double travel" mode? It's the Right Top button (s7) I believe. KingPin's videos show the same speed I was getting. Only other things it could be is the gait type you are using or that you don't have double travel on. I think it's the Top Right button. (s7)

    Right Top(S7) - Cycle through options of Norm al walk/Double Height/Double Travel) <--- you should have that one toggled on.

    I looked at the code. If you didn't change anything other than the gait speed and it was pulled from Kurt's github I'm not sure what to look for. Can you post a video of it moving with S7 toggled on?

    I've made sure you were using Kurt's modified ax12.cpp. I'm not sure what else I can do. Sending my Arduino folder isn't going to help. At the time I shot that video I was using Kurt's github version of the Phoenix software. The only thing I did that you haven't done is use his Arbotix Commander code and honestly I'm not sure if that's going to make much of a difference.
