Thread: question about scoring systems

    question about scoring systems

The scoring systems are said to only twisted one hit per second.
Is this enforced on the scoring controller/detector side, or the central computer side?
If I'm hit more than once in a second, will my controller see more than one hit pulse?
If I want to detect every impact, is it okay to split the output of the fsr panels?
I'd be happy to buffer it with an Opamp so I don't affect the sensitivity of score detection.

The one hit per second is enforced on the transponder side.
No modifications are allowed on any of the supplied scoring system parts.

Maybe it is allowed to install additional panels that you handle yourself. Though, then it is not clear how the opponent will know which are the scoring panels.

What is the status of the 2013 target plates and board? I heard a rumor the design has a problem? Does anyone know when we will be able to order 2013 target plates and board?

I wonder about this, too! Currently, I have some servos at Robotis USA for PCB replacement (a-hem) but I'm hoping to get it back and together in time to practice for 2013 RoboGames. The guns now work fine, so the last missing piece for a functional entry is the target panels. If the only problem is the regulator, I have plenty of ULDO regulators in my parts box, and can make sure to replace whatever's needed...

PCB replacement? Do tell jwatte.... What happened?

I don't know exactly. They stopped answering bus commands, and recovery didn't work. My best guess is I somehow fed -6V on the TTL bus line, possibly by setting my controller down on a surface with bare metal on it?
I know it can't have been more than that, because I had a 5.8V bidirectional clamp on the bus, and a 16V clamp on the power. Next time, I'll put a single-direction clamp on each, instead of bidirectional, I guess...
Or it's something different, but I can't think of what. If it's the above cause, then at least I know how to fix that (conformal coat THE EVERYTHING.)
