So this is my day job. :)

I've been working on "How to Train Your Dragon 2" for the past two years and today we released our teaser trailer.
Take a look when you have time.

I like! Thanks for sharing and congratulations to you! My two nephews are gonna love this.

To continue the tradition of this thread, we (at work) recently went public with our automated container terminal application at a test site in LA. 65 tons of automated vehicle .

For your own sanity, tune down the music....

    That's awesome, Kevin.

Until recently, I was the lead EE on the Aces Hy (hyperspectral imager) program at L-3. We make the optics, mechanisms, electronics, sensor, etc and sell it to Raytheon who's the prime. http://www.militaryaerospace.com/art...al-aceshy.html

I just started a new program.

Nice! Love that goofy tongue face!
Is that all morph and bones, or is it driven by some simulation?

The tongue shot is hand animated. The animator on that shot added that in on his own. It wasn't even in the story boards.

We don't use any blend shapes in our systems. It's all bone with muscle sliding. It is a bit more expensive to setup but it gives the animator flexibility in their performance.

That animation looks incredible. I don't know enough about it to truly appreciate what's going on, but my fiancee went to grad school for 3D animation and just went nuts over it.
