It's not a real mech unless it's walking, right? :-)

I don't think I am allowed to directly answer that since the only battle my robots have ever seen was a jousting matchAnd I know I'm supposed to be an american and all but I'm rooting for Kuratas. Seriously the Mark II looks like a piece of construction equipment... a bit disappointing if you ask me.
Construction equipment 'mechs are OK by me, as long as they are, well, 'mechs.
It's not like Longbow or Jagermech are built for looks, either :-)
(In fact, Mark II looks bit like Jager IMO)
I think I will watch this when (if?) it occurs - awesomesauce!
Tracked/wheeled mechs with humanoid torsos/arms/etc.: Short Circuit universe, Terminator universe, Gundam 8th MS Team (and occasional cannon fodder in Gundam Wing?), Code Geass, GITS Arise (transformable to full walking humanoid), and cannot remember the names of several other movies/series/games having them. The yellow paintjob irks me a bit for a 'battle-ready' 'mech', because it makes it a bit more obvious that the tracks were taken straight from actual construction equipment and will make for one unpleasant ride on rough terrain.
The 'Jameson' model cyber-body from GITS:SAC doesn't look much like a traditional mech (more like a weighted companion cube on stilts), but I think it would be quite fun to watch it going up against an HR-OS1 or 'traditional' multi-legged mech...
Please pardon the pedantry... and the profanity... and the convoluted speech pattern...
"You have failed me, Brain!"
