Thread: Device to monitor battery

  1. Device to monitor battery

Hello, sometimes after demo or competition, I see people taking out the battery from their robot and connected it to some kind of small measurement device. What is that? Why they monitored the battery?

My guess is they are plugging it into a LiPo Battery Montor. Maybe like:

Lipos - can be hazardous if they are mistreated. If they got discharged too far, than you take a very big risk if you then try to recharge the battery. Do a google search on things like lipo battery explosion and you can find lots of examples of this on the web.
