2016 Robogames Mech Warfare Qualifying

Post qualifying videos for the 2016 Robogames Mech Warfare Event here.

I'll start it off with mine.

1) In case of robot attack, use robot hunting dogs for defense!
2) Do you aim with the legs? It kind of looks like it. Which seems like a good way to save on weight!
3) Do you think that exposed LiPo battery is safe in the case of ricochets? Those BBs really do pack a punch (I cracked a lens on my exposed camera in Boston,)

Ya. That's my battle pup Quincy. He loves the mech. Last night he was mainly interested in the BB's however.

I do use body pitch/yaw to aim. Cuts down on turret weight but limits the angles achievable w/o having to step the body. The disadvantages probably out weigh the advantages... it was just something I wanted to prove was feasible so I went with it.

I have pockets in the Mech behind the target plates where the batteries go. I was just to lazy to put them in there last night.

Ya... we debated this. Who has to post videos and who doesn't. Obviously the five mechs (which your one of) that competed recently at the Tucson MechBrawl are working and demonstrated the intent of what we're after and should have no issues qualifying.

But to be consistent and fair to all competitors we decided everyone has to post a video if they want to pre-qualify (RTEAM included). Its also good promotion for mech warfare competitions.

So, ya you need to post a video. Sorry.

Yes, I noticed that. Watched it several times closely. Very good ability. I'm looking forward to seeing SMMB2 in person.
