    Programming Required. Small fee offered.

Would anybody be interested getting paid to
develop a short program for me? Basically I have
a joystick with a gear system that turns a
potentiometer, and a DC motor with an optical
encoder and associated electronics that provides
the feel. The pot introduces unecessary errors,
and complexity, and I am wasting the accurate
optical encoder signal in favor of the inaccurate
pot signal. I want you to write me some software
driver that would enable my PC to accept my
encoder signal thru my phidgets high speed
encoder gizzmo and have it show up on my PC as a
regular windows game controller. That would be an
interesting project for you, and I would pay you
for your time. You would also need to spend some time
on the phone helping me load your program on my PC and
get it going. If you are not interested, please
ask if any of your friends would be interested in
taking this on. Please email me at [email protected]
    with your asking price

    Hi Jim,

I don't know if you received any PM's regarding this, but it seems to me that some combination of GlovePie and ppjoy, or the similar projects out there could be finagled into doing this.

I'm knee-deep in GlovePie (and rising fast ) at the moment. I'd be happy to offer any advice from my hard knocks, and I'm sure there's others here with far more experience. I'm not into taking on any more coding myself right now, but if you want to "learn along", I'd be happy to share!
