Honorablemention Lego NXT Autonomous 'Wall-E' Robot

I am proud to present to you my interpretation of Disney's latest Pixar animation movie star and i name Wall-E!

He is entirely made of Lego parts and Lego NXT Mindstorms Robotic System for brains, he is fully automated and animated and programed using Labview's NXT-G software. I have built many prototype before coming to this final revision (wall-e rev.3)

Technical specs:
1 Mindstorms NXT with rechargable pack,
3 Lego NXT Servo Motors,
4 Lego PowerFonctions motors,
2 PF IR receiver,
1 UltraSonic sensor,
1 Sound sensor,
1 InfraRed link sensor, (HiTechnic)
1 NXTservo module and
1 mini RC servo, (Mindsensors)
10 AA batteries
Lego parts mainly from the Bulldozer set #8275 and other parts from various technic sets.

He can be seen in action here :

or here :

This video is a bit long but shows how i got rid of an 'illigal' modified lego part to make my Wall-E 'pure'
I also have a Picasaweb photo album thats show every parts of Wall-E in as i disassemble him assist other in recreating him ( i was unable to embed the slideshow so i attached a few here of the hundreds available)
http://picasaweb.google.com/freshmarc/WallENXT#

I hope my robot will be considered in the upcoming contest and dazzle you
in the meantime please enjoy and contact me if you have any questions.

Re: Lego NXT Autonomous 'Wall-E' Robot

He's AWESOME!

If you have build photos, any code you want to share, any additional detail - those kinda things really rock contests here. I'll make sure that Alex sees this thread so he can get you entered in the next contest when it's announced.

Grats! Amazing LEGO work! Really shows the flexibility of the LEGO robotics system combined with other LEGO lines.

[edit] eMail away to Alex. Of course, Tyberius could just nudge him...

For sure! If you get some spare time, would you mind starting a tutorial?
