Laser pointer on gun?

Is it legal to have a laser pointer on your gun?? For aiming purposes

Yes, but it shouldn't interfere with anyones camera. In reality, I found it nearly impossible to see the Sparkfun laser module through my trendnet camera until the target was really up close. I think it'd be better to display the crosshairs in software on your desktop.

I agree with Fergs on the lasers. I had a laser pointer mounted between my guns on Bheka at RG 2009. I also had crosshairs (sort of) on my video display. The laser was virtually useless, and very difficult to keep track of. I was using a laser pointer from Walmart.

With the Airlink camera (which failed), the laser dot showed up as a white dot, instead of red. This was attributed to the wide angle lens I was using, which washed out the colors somewhat.

Bheka rev. 3 will do targeting with the video only.
